Myself, as well as a few friends, began collecting weapons. In particular we have been collecting WWII rifles and pistols.
Many of these weapons have been in storage for many years, packed in a corrosion- preventer known as Cosmoline. It's a lot like axle grease; a sticky, messy substance. It often soaks into the wooden stocks and makes cleaning a rifle properly a pain.
My friend Mike and I built an oven used to remove the Cosmoline from the wood. We published it in a PDF, which you can download here:
